How to make a quote card

1

Type a quote or add a screenshot

Write the quote, or switch to Screenshot and choose, drop or paste an image.

2

Style it

Pick the size for where you'll post, a background, the card style and the padding and corners.

3

Download the PNG

Press Download PNG and post it. Add your name and handle so reposts carry your credit.

How the card is laid out

The quote is set as large as it can be while still fitting the card: short lines get big type, long ones shrink to fit. Line breaks you type are kept, so you can control where a line turns. If a quote is too long even at the smallest size, you'll see a warning; a taller size like 1080×1920 gives it more room.

In Screenshot mode, the image is scaled to fit inside the padding without being cropped, with its corners rounded and a soft shadow underneath. That turns a plain screenshot of a post, a review or a chart into something that looks deliberate in a feed.

Sizes match where each is shown as of October 2026: 1080×1350 is the tallest portrait an Instagram feed post can be, 1080×1920 fills a Story or Reel cover, 1080×1080 suits any feed, and 1200×675 is the 16:9 shape X and LinkedIn show in full. Cards are saved as PNG so text and edges stay crisp.

Frequently asked questions

What size should a quote post be for Instagram?

1080×1350 (4:5) takes up the most room in the feed. Since 2025 Instagram shows profile grids in a 3:4 shape, which trims a little off the top and bottom of a 4:5 post, so keep the quote away from those edges; the default padding does.

Can I post someone else's screenshot or quote?

Credit the original author in the card and the caption. Short quotes with credit are widely shared, but whether you can use someone's words or post depends on the rights involved and the platform's rules.

Is my screenshot uploaded?

No. The card is drawn in your browser and downloaded straight to your device.

Why PNG and not JPG?

Text and sharp edges look crisper in PNG. Instagram and X convert uploads either way, and they start from a cleaner image when it's a PNG.
